Pair Tree Pose and Balance.

On the first day of Solstice, yoga sent to me……

A Balance and a Pair Tree Pose!

Finding some balance in an around this season can be tricky. With the end of term concerts and events, parties and activities we sometimes find it hard to or even find ourselves getting swept up in this magic fast pace time that our families, believe it or not, are actually becoming unbalanced.

This time of year to me is all about family, finding time to reconnect and balancing the festivities together as a family.

Affirmation for today “We balance together as a family”

Just as a forest works together to make sure every little part of it has enough space to grow, so can we as a unit find a few minutes today to come together and be apart of each others day. Listening to each other, helping each other and loving each other.

Lets hold each other up now and find some balance in Pair Tree Pose.

You may need a focus friend to focus your drishti (concentration and vision) on like a statue or favourite ornament or even something from nature.

Stand side by side with your partner and breathe together.

Inhale lift your branches into the air, exhale.

Inhale rest your outside foot on your other ankle, breathe.

On your next inhale together, balance together and raise your foot above your knee in Tree Pose.

Balance and Breathe together and take note on how the other person may need you to help them balance.

You are balancing together.
