Lotus Pose, Peace and Quiet

Rainbow Yogis in Lotus Pose - Yoga for Children

On the forth day of Solstice yoga gave to me….

Lotus Pose, peace and quiet.

There is a power in being still and quiet. Taking some time to really reconnect with yourself, nurturing your body and mind by resting every little cell, every thought, every muscle.  By stilling your day and yourself, you will allow your mind and body to recharge and start a fresh. A fresh new perspective, clear of the dust and ready to start again.

Today’s affirmation “Be still and recharge”

Let’s be still in Lotus Pose.

Sitting in a quiet, comfortable place. Out in nature can be best for this, but any escape from the hustle and bustle will do.

Sitting in easy crossed leg. If you would like a deeper pose, you can lift your feet over to rest on your knees.

The mudrā of knowledge. Where your thumb and pointy fingers touch and the other fingers stretch out.

Now close your eyes and take a few long, deep breaths.

You can dedicate this practice to stillness, yourself, someone you love or even world peace.

As you inhale, breathe in love as exhale, breathe out peace.

Enjoy your moments of peace and stillness as you recharge and start a new.

Namaste.
