Our first up-cycled project.

Rainbow Pammy's awesome Upcycled Jacket!

I was in some need of a bright new costume but didn’t want to buy something new that has been made with and wasted our precious earth’s resources.

Something recycled that could represent Rainbow Pammy with her unusual uniqueness and her “no such thing as waste” beliefs.

This is what my Tinker Elf, Mr Shadow and I came up with.

Get a pile of recycled jumpers …

… and a little jacket!
Cut the jumpers into strips …
… and start overlocking!
Overlock some more …

Yay, sleeves!

Taa daaaa! My new upcycled coat.

And with the scraps!!!!

Another little jacket.

This great little project was inspired by Katwise Sweaters and we enjoyed it sooo much that everyone will be getting upcycled gifts for gifts this year.

Here is also a great little song about waste from a great man, Charlie McGee on his uke to sing to whilst you tinker! Have fun.
